My Top 5 Beauty Essentials
Have you ever noticed that it doesn’t matter how much make-up and accessories you have you always seem to use the same few products over and over again? And aren’t those most used products the ones you just couldn’t live without?
So I decided to share with you my top five beauty essentials that I could not live without.
I just love Rimmel’s BB Cream which boasts an amazing 9-in-1 benefits. It primes, moisturises, minimizes pores, conceals, covers, smoothes, mattifies, brightens, and helps protect the skin from harmful UV rays as it also has an SPF 25. I use it as a base for my foundation or simply underneath a quick sweep of powder.
I always like to keep some Vaseline to hand because its just so versatile. I use it on my lips when they are chapped and dry during winter, or to moisturise and protect my lips during the summer months. I apply it to my cutilcles to improve the condition of them and a small amount rubbed between my hands and applied to my hair can keep the frizz at bay!
Now when it comes to mascara I’m not too fussy about brand, I like to shop around and get the best deals so will usually get what is on offer. However, applicator wise I do prefer the curved ones (as shown, left) and my mascara has to be black. I find a good coating of mascara can really emphasise the eyes.
I like to get some volume to my hair as it is really thin so I often backcomb my hair to add some oomph. However because I also bleach it the fine toothed comb I used to use would cause my hair to break so I switched to a teasing brush and I love it! It doesn’t cause my hair as much damage and it’s also better for smoothing the top layer of hair after back combing.
How many hair styles can you do with these little things! They are the key to any up-do and help keep loose strands of hair secured firmly in place. Also, if i’m having a bad hair day or can’t be bothered to straighten my hair (you know you have those days too!) then i just twist it up and slip a few bobby pins in place to secure it and voila, a messy up-do.
So that’s my top five beauty essentials. What are the products you couldn’t live without?
