Important Safety Informatiom

If you have not had a spray tan before, have sensitive skin or have suffered an allergic reaction to other tanning products or cosmetics:

  • We strongly recommend coming to us for a patch test. A patch test involves applying a small amount of the tanning solution/tint/aromatherapy blend behind your ear and leaving this on for 24-48 hours to ensure you do not suffer a reaction or any irritation from the solution.

We will require your GP’s written consent before treatments if you suffer from:

  • A cardiac condition
  • High/low blood pressure
  • If you have had a stroke
  • Thrombosis
  • Severe acne on the back, chest or face
  • Severe Asthma or Bronchial Conditions

Treatment will NOT be carried out if you have:

  • A contagious skin diseases e.g. Scabies, Ringworm, Headlice, Impetigo, Cold Sores
  • Any Viral or Fungal diseases e.g. Athletes foot, Verrucas or warts, Nail infections
  • Septic Wounds, Boils or Folliculitis
  • Digestive complaints e.g. diarrhea
  • Infectious Diseases e.g. Flu, Measles, Chicken Pox, Scarlet Fever, etc
  • Recent injury or surgery
  • Recent plastic surgery, skin peels or cosmetic microdermabrasion
  • Eye Infections such as Conjunctivitis
  • During the first three months of pregnancy

Health issues that might prevent the treatment being carried out:

  • Cancer
  • Eczema
  • Psorisis
  • High Temperatures
  • Bruising
  • Insect Bites
  • Cuts or Burns
  • Broken bones or recent Fractures
  • Cosmetic treatments such as Botox or Lip Fillers
  • Pregnancy after the first trimester, particularly if there is a history of miscarriage

Factors that may have an affect on the quality of your tan:

  • If you are taking any medication then this may have an effect on the end result of your tan as some medications can inhibit/prevent the skin colouring
  • If you have shaved or waxed within the last 24 hours. Find out more about when to shave and/or wax in our pre-tan information.
